You can shoot and see ahead of you. Also, you can use the map to get a bearing, but you may not be able to see walls using the map(TAB key) because they are hidden.

There is a way out, you just have to find it. A clue is when you find the power-ups. They literally point the way.

The pendulum has no purpose other than as a reminder of the lonely things of life.

You can jump across certain pits. For some pits, you just must be near an edge and jump (with the Home key...hit F1 for a list of all keys). For others, you must run and jump. You can do this by running and then hitting the jump key at the right time. This can take some practice to get right, but once you get it, this will be a valuable skill for the rest of the game.

You need to jump here. The key is where -- look down and around when you are on top of those rocks. You should see a clue.

You need to have gotten through the Mall and opened the lower mall shop door.

There are three doors you can open -- two on the upper level and one on the lower level. Two of these doors are locked and you have to find a key. Look for the doors as you go about the mall. On the top level, one door can be found in a shop in the middle, and on the bottom level, it is in the farthest hall.

You can get up there. You just need to find a way to jump up there. If you get up on a bench and run along the top edge, you should be able to run and jump up on a platform. This is not easy, so try it a few times.

This key can be found in the Pits of Despair. Search the farthest caves to find it.

This key can be found in the mall. Search the upper level. (Big Hint: LLAM EHT FO RENROC TSAETHRON EHT NI SI TI).

You cannot open the scroll door until you get to the last region of this level called the Media Maze. (Big Hint: AZAM IADEM CISUM EHT NI LLORCS EHT DNIF) 

You must first have explored the mall and Caves of Loneliness. Then you will find an object that will help you. Hint: It is NOT a rock. (Big Hint: POHS LLAM LEVEL REPPU EHT OTNI TEG TSUM UOY)

You can find several secret areas -- one that can be especially valuable. Plus,  you can just enjoy the art :).

One of these is found on the ceiling. Another is found behind something that moves. Both are in the video media maze area (as opposed to the music media maze).

You need to find the key. It is found elsewhere in the music media maze.

How can I defeat the Worldliness enemy -- it is so quick?

The Worldliness enemy can indeed be quick and hard to hit, but here are a few tips: 
1) Worldliness is harder to hit in open spaces, so draw it or fight with it in narrower halls and corridors.
2) When Worldliness comes at you or goes away from you, that is when it is most vulnerable.

You must find the right scroll for each scroll door. Some scrolls are more hidden than others. The ones that are hidden have clues given above so that you can find the scroll more easily.

The first level has several secret areas. Here are some clues:
   - one is in the Loneliness maze
   - two are in the Gallery...behind a picture and in a statue
   - one is in the Media maze...go INTO the movie.

You can find a valuable power-up for your sword in a secret area in the Gallery of Nothingness. Look in a lower area room near a smooth statue (Big Hint: TFEL TXEN EKAT NEHT, TIXE TFLE EKAT NEHT .DAEHA THGIARTS DNA NOITCESRETNI YAW-RUOF TSAP OG, RELLAG FO GNINNIGEB TA ,MOOR ELOHW EHT SLLIF EUTATS HTOOMS SIHT).

HINTS For Level 2: Labyrinths of Legalism

You need to search and map out the area. Use your map (with TAB key) and zoom it out (+ and - keys). One clue is that you are getting near the exit when you find the lead pipe on the ground. 

You need to find a scroll, find a lead pipe and then find the exit. You should also find at least one rock (see below). It is strongly advised to not enter the turnstile maze until you have all these items.

I cannot find the exit to the Twisty Maze. How do I get out of here?

The exit is near where you find the lead pipe. If you enter an area and then look on the map and the walls are hidden, then you are getting close. Beware though because one-way walls will trick you!

It can indeed be frustrating, but you need to get your bearings straight. One way is to find some rocks in the twisty maze and use them as guidepoints. You can drop them or throw them and notice where they are. One sly way to track your position is to drop a rock and then use your map (TAB key) and notice where the object is.

Also, you should be able to go in a few rooms into the maze by keeping track of where the exit is really dark (compared to the other exits). Wait until you get some rooms in before you drop an object.

One other hint -- don't throw your pipe...only drop it. Otherwise it could get lost.

You can find ways around them to make it easier, but these are not avoidable.

You must find some way of stopping it. Perhaps something to block it? (Big Hint: ROOD EHT TA EPIP DEAL EHT WORHT)

You need to find a way to make a bridge. There is a "lever" somewhere nearby. (Big Hint: LLAW RAF EHT NO NAIHC TSEHTRAF EHT LLUP).

You need to jump on the levers and figure out how they work. You should save your game before you try this because it can be difficult. A clue as to where to go...somewhere near the far corner.

To stop the cage from falling, you need to find a switch...the switch can be found on the outer wall. (Big Hint: TI HSUP DNA KCOLB DEROLOCSID A ROF KOOL)

You should jump on the standing and stationary platforms right before the trap exit door. (Big Hint: MROFTALP TSEHTRAF EHT OT TEG UOY LITNU ESOHT NO PMUJ) 

The lever that is after the falling ceiling and crushing walls is a red herring -- meaning it is a false one. (Big HInt: ENO LAER EHT DNIF OT LLAW EHT DNIHEB OG)

You must navigate around the maze and find the way out. Use the 2-D Map (hit TAB) to see it more clearly.

No, you are not trapped. You can find an elevator that will take you up to the maze.

You need to determine which ones to follow and which ones not to follow. You can experiment to learn, but you should learn quickly otherwise it can be very difficult.

Where is the scroll here?

How do I get out of the desert area?

You need to follow the right signs. If you do, you can escape. You will get a few hints that you are following the right signs. 

I followed all the signs in the desert area, but I am still stuck?

Make sure you get close to a sign as you follow it. There are hidden little eyes in each sign, knowing whether you are following it. They can only see so far.

This level has several secret areas. Here are some clues:
    - the trap dungeon has a few, while the trap room has none.
    - the rules maze has a few; think water and look carefully.

You can find a valuable weapon in the trap dungeon. Search behind and around every place. (Big Hint: RATLA REYARP EHT RAEN SI TI)

HINTS For Level 3: New Age Nirvana

The gold guru master can be defeated but requires accuracy. A few hints though -- it is harder to hit this enemy in an open room as opposed to a hall, and the enemy is weakest when he first appears.

You should search that area and find a hedge maze. Try to make it through it.

This can seem difficult but here is one clue -- there are clues when you are going the right way.

You need to find the scroll and then search the area for anything else...hint: there is something else here that is valuable.

You should explore the area and find the scroll doors and the scrolls. Also, if you search carefully, you may find a hidden room that are extremely valuable.

A hint -- wait to go left, you can choose either going straight or right. Going straight ahead is the easier path.

What do I do at the bamboo buildings(shrines) in the mountains?

You can search them and see if they have any valuable items.

Explore it and find different things. You will need to find a scroll, a scroll door, a special object, and the path to the Temple of Man.

There is a way in, and you don't need a key...you just have to find a way in.

You just need to jump across it.

How do I get through the locked door?

You must find the silver key. It is in the Love & Peace Temple. (Big Hint: EKAL NI KOOL)

You can explore and find power-ups and such. It is worth exploring this temple.

You need to ring the bells. Ring them all at once. This can be done easiest by running and jumping. You don't need to necessarily jump on the platform. Look up while you are running and jumping and you can more easily ring each bell. You will know if you rung each bell all at once. If not try again. When you try again, you do not have to wait for them to stop.

You must get the key. The key is not a key though. You will have to have explored the Temple of Heaven (blue temple) first (Big Hint: SLLEB EHT GNIR). 

There is a scroll here. It is hidden. You need to find the hidden door.

You need to find the gold key. It is somewhere close by behind another locked door. (Big Hint: YRARBIL EHT NI KOOL).

This key can be found in the Mountains of Relativity (Big Hint: YEK EZNORB EHT SI SIHT).

You must find a way of destroying it. The first step is removing the force field that protects it. There must be somewhere this force field is controlled. HInt: It is close by. (Big Hint: EUTATS EHT DNIHEB RALLIP TFEL EHT RAEN LLAW EHT TA KOOL)

You must find some way of destroying it. You need to have solved all five scroll doors first before you may understand how. (Big Hint: HTURT FO REMMAH EHT ESU)

You need to put the cubes in the statue. They must be in the right order. If they are in the wrong order, jump up on the control booth to pick them up and place them again. Hint: Notice what the symbols mean.

This level has several secret areas. Here are some clues:
-- you can find two in the Love temple...one is in the Temple, the other is outside. Both are BELOW.
-- one is in the Shrine of Heaven. There is a trick to getting it opened.
-- one is in the Earth Shrine and two are in the Temple of Man. 

You can find a speed-up to your sword-blaster in the Love and Peace Temple -- hidden of course. You can also find a powerful new weapon in the Temple of Man -- even more well hidden.

HINTS For Level 4: Domain of The Heart

You must keep moving...don't stop! And if you can, avoid it by going around it.

You cannot make it through this until you have a certain object. (Big Hint: RUWOP HTLAEH REPUS EHT TEG)

You can find power-ups and possibly other objects here (if you did not get certain ones in the third level).

You must find the moving garbage area and get through it. You can find power-ups on the top of garbage heaps.

You can get through this -- you just have to keep going. Remember to run...by using SHIFT. (Big Hint: GNISOLC SI TAHT EGDE EHT SDRAWOT NUR).

You can get through it...just don't go the direct way. (Big Hint: PU KCAB NEHT EMOS NI OG)

Where is the scroll for this scroll door?

It is near the beginning of the level where you started. Go to the the quicksand area and you will find it at the end. If you aren't sure where the quicksand area is, when you first start the game, you reach an intersection. Take a left and you'll be there.
 

Just fight the enemies, get the powerups and get through it.

You need to find a scroll here. Plus there are power-ups. (Big Hint: GNIDLIUB DENIUR  A FO POT NO SI LLORCS EHT)

You need to explore and find power-ups, scrolls, and a scroll door.

It is found in the slanted ruins.

You need to find the scroll in the swamp lands. (Big Hint: DNOP NOSIOP EHT NI KOOL)

You need to find a way to bridge the chasm. (Big Hint: LLIH EHT FO POT NO KCOR EHT HSUP)

You need to be very strong here and fight efficiently and wisely. You can gain in your abilities if you go to the altar in the tower area.

You can get through this by brute force. You need to be wise and skillful. Do not try to attack them all at once. Most helpful will be sword launcher ammo. It is found throughout this level -- but mostly in secret areas.

You need to avoid the slits/holes in the wall. Carefully going through this room and either jumping or ducking should get you through. Note the trigger points for each too.

Just go until you hit a wall. You can see a little ways if you fire your weapon. You can also use the map and see where the enemy is and comes from..

You must find a way to open it. There is no key. You can find another way in.

You can get up the scaffolding. You must jump your way up it. And then maneuver around. One of the jumps requires a running and precise jump.

It can be really tough here. You need to be fully equipped and strengthened. If you still struggle, follow this: (Big Hint: EFIL FO REVIR EHT OTNI OG)

This level has several secret areas. Here are some clues:- one is in the swamplands, several are in the ruins of pride, and one is in the temple of the heart.

No, unless you did not get the sword launcher from the previous level then you will be able to find it by exploring the Swamps. What is important to find in the last level is the ammo for the Sword Launcher. Many of these ammo are hidden in secret areas. Then only use the Sword Launcher wisely and conserve your ammo until you really need it.
