Extra Help For The Turnstile Maze:

Here is some big clues for the Turnstile maze. Read only as far as you need to. If you are already in the Turnstile maze, go here.

1) Get at least one rock from the Twisty Maze. Make sure you have the lead pipe and a scroll too. Before you enter the turnstile maze, we highly recommend that you save your game.

2) When you enter the turnstile maze, you will be spun around. Look at each exit and see which one is darker. This is where you came in. Make sure you go in the exact opposite of this.

3) Then go thru the hallway and go into the next room. Turn around and look at each exit. You should notice that one is still darker. This is the entrance to the maze. Turn around again.

4) Walk into the hallway and drop one of your rocks. Keep going through into the room. When you are spun around, look at where the rock is. Go into the opposite exit. Use your map with the TAB key. Zoom in with the +/- keys...you should see your rock as a blue dot. Use this as a guide when you get spun around.

5) Now keep going in the opposite way until you see the exit gets darker. This means you hit the end of the maze. If you go in there, you will be teleported back and then spun around which can be very confusing.

6) What you need to do now is go left. Then get spun around, check your map and then turn right.

7) Finally, you will be spun around and go out the dark exit. This will be the exit to the maze.

STUCK IN MAZE?

Btw, if you are stuck elsewhere in the maze, the turnstile maze is 6x6 rooms. You can find out where you are by looking at the exits of the room. If it is dark, then it is either an endcap room (where if you go in, you'll get transported back one room), or it's the exit or entrance of the maze. So use these to gauge where you are. Also, read the above hints to understand what you need to do to get out.

STILL STUCK?

Here's a step-by-step walkthrough...

Before you enter in the turnstile maze, make sure your map is zoomed up. Do this by hitting TAB and hitting the PLUS key a bunch of times. Also, make sure you have two rocks and the lead pipe and a scroll from the Twisty Maze. Save your game. If for some reason you get lost, you can go back to this saved game.

Enter into the first room. You will be spun around. Look at each hallway. You will notice one is very black. This is where you came from. Go in the direction straight ahead from the entrance.

You are spun again. Now look at each hallway. You should notice that one hallway in the distance is black whereas the rest you can see through. Again, now you know that the black hallway in the distance is the exit. If you do not notice one blacker, adjust the contrast on your monitor and/or shield your monitor from any external or bright light.

Go straight ahead from the entrance. When you are in the hall and before you get into the next room, drop a rock here in the hall. Enter the next room.

Now turn on your map. Look to see where you were spun around. The rock is behind you; you want to keep heading straight ahead from the entrance.

Go into the next room. Get spun around, use your map again to see where the rock is and to orient yourself. Since the rock is near the edge of the screen, drop another rock in the next hallway. Keep going straight ahead.

You are spun around again. Now look at each hallway. You should notice one in the distance is dark. This is an endcap room. If you enter into it, you will be spun around but teleported back to the previous room. So, don't go there. Instead turn to the left hallway (relative to if you are facing toward the dark hallway/endcap room). Go forward.

Now you are spun around again. Use the map to notice where you are. Look at each hallway. Find the one in the distance which is black. This is the exit. Go towards it.

You are spun around again. But this time, not teleported! So go through the dark hallway to the exit!

There are various other ways you can get through this -- by mapping the endcap rooms and/or throwing rocks ahead and/or noticing which way you spin (that can be really hard, though). However, this walkthrough should get you through.
